Congratulations to Ben who won the Book Fair prize in our room. His alligator cover was lovely!

Our water colour paintings are now on display in the GP room. We also wrote reports about our time with Karen.

We had fun working with clay. We spent some time rolling and twisting and experimenting with it first. Then we shaped a pizza. Finally we put the toppings on the pizza.🍕 Now we are waiting for them to dry.

The food pyramid helps us with our food choices. We should eat lots from the base of the pyramid and less from each section as the pyramid gets narrower. This will helps us stay healthy.

We were learning about volcanoes in Geography. Today we did an experiment to see how volcanoes erupt. It was fun to watch the eruption!

Our final RSE lesson was on problem-solving. It is important to pick a good time to talk about a problem. It's also important to stay calm when talking about a problem. Then we tried a very difficult Missing Piece task!

We are working on reports and report writing with Ms Henry. Each group took information on an animal and created a report to present to the class. It was very interesting.

We had a session with Rebecca today. Even though it was damp we kept going! We were practicing ball skills after a warm up.

We chatted and learned about taking care of the various parts of our bodies. We also drew care posters.

Céad míle fáilte to Ms Henry who will be teaching 3rd & 4th for 4 weeks. A special céad míle fáilte to Leo. Leo is the speaking object in our room!

We took our woven pieces home today. They looked lovely 😍

Today we were learning about the heart. We took our pulse before and after exercise. We also used the Smart Heart to detect our pulse rate. It was fun exercising to increase our heart rates!

Today we learned about the development of babies in the womb. Then in groups we did a matching activity.

Today we were making St Brigid's crosses. Thank you to the people from 5th and 6th who helped us. It was a lovely afternoon.

This week we were chatting about rules, responsibilities and consequences. In groups we had to agree on three rules for various headings.

Our RSE lesson today was very appropriate. We were talking about families on Grandparents Day! In groups we found similarities and differences (this was hard) between families. We also said one thing we liked about our family.
