5th and 6th Class enjoyed an interactive Christmas Maths Quiz on Zoom today with presenter Michelle Colloty. We really enjoyed the alphabet maths quiz and the dingbats!

Thank you to Martina who came in to teach us all about our local area today. We had great fun making our Christmas Wreath using natural materials and also learned how to make a rush candle. We really enjoyed making the bird feeders too. We had a great afternoon in 5th and 6th Class.

We received our pennant today for all of the wonderful farm safety work that our school has engaged with this term. We have received the first one for Animal Safety and Wellbeing from AgriKids. We hope to earn more pennants in the future towards eventually earning an overall Farm Safety Flag for our school. Well done to everyone for all of their dedication to farm safety in our school community! Keep up the great work! 👏 🐑 🐄

5th and 6th Class attended mass today to pray for those who are no longer with us. Thank you to Fr Vincent for making us feel so welcome. We have created our own Tree of Remembrance in our classroom to remember our loved ones every day during this month. We created some Robin art for November too. We hope that you like them.

5th and 6th Class are keeping up their Farm Safety enthusiasm! This Week’s Focus: Sheep Farming! We joined Annie McGuinnes, a sheep farmer from Co. Louth. She gave us a glimpse into life on her farm and explained how she looks after her sheep in the Cooley mountains.
