Student Teacher
We said a sad goodbye today to Ms. Henry. We got to do lots of fun learning with her the last 4 weeks. We wish her well for the future.

The Kingdom of Benin

First Communion 2026
The children of 2nd class will make their First Holy Communion on Saturday May 16th at 11am. Like other years, we are asking Parents from other classes to help out with the party in the Community Centre following the ceremony. Here are a few ways you can help: Bring the following items into the GP room at the school next week- Biscuits, bars, buns sweets, cakes, brack, crisps, 7up or Miwadi Bring home-baked goods to the Hall on Friday 15th or on Saturday morning Help set

The sheep had a great first day of school today. They learned lots about taking turns and having fun! Outdoor Art
Today we had an unusual art lesson. We took a walk up the lane near the school. Each pair had a colour card with six different shades. The challenge was to find a matching item for each colour from nature. There was lots of discussion and changing of items! https://canva.link/zw933sf6ke5ykgr

Famine Cottages
5th and 6th Class enjoyed some outdoor painting today to finish off our Famine Cottages. We are eager to finish our novel “Under the Hawthorn Tree” by Marita Conlon-McKenna tomorrow. It is based on life in Ireland during the Famine.

Cumann na mBunscol
Well done to all who participated in the Cumann na mBunscol games today in Dromore West. The end score line was 9:7 in the girls game who are now through to the Quarter Finals. The boys are through to the Shield competition as runners up after their tight game with an end result of 14:11. Well done to everyone!

Lego Spike Education
5th and 6th Class had lots of fun today using the Lego Spike kits. They used their teamwork and engineering skills to design, make and code their creations. Some great work in a short space of time! Jack also showed us his own robot that he has designed and programmed to open and close its mouth to play music and it also has a laser eye! This was all inspired by the Lego Spike kits. Maith thú!
