Summer News

The Parents Association has some important dates for your diary which we need your help and support with. 

WHAT: Parents Association Fundraiser

WHEN : Saturday August 1st 2026 from 10.00am to 2pm (Bank holiday weekend)

WHERE: The Mill Cafe in the Cloonacool Community Centre

WHY: All proceeds from the cafe on this day will go towards the Cloonacool National School Summer Clean Up ....we will purchase paint, paint brushes, treatment for weeds etc. Any funds left over will go towards the purchase of sports equipment for the school. 

Please come along and enjoy the delicious treats they have on offer. All support will be greatly appreciated on the day. 

CLOONACOOL NATIONAL SCHOOL CLEAN UP:

WHEN: Saturday August 22nd and Sunday August 23rd....times will be confirmed at a later date 

WHAT: Powerwashing, gutter-cleaning, painting, lawn-cutting, strimming, hedgecutting, window cleaning etc etc etc..

The plan of action is to get as many parents as possible to give an hour or two of their time on the weekend of August 22nd/23rd to help spruce up the school building, yard etc for the upcoming school year. All help will be greatly appreciated. More information will follow at a later date. 

The PA would like to thank Attracta, Rita and all the volunteers of the Mill Cafe . We would also like to thank James and Michael Armstong and Joe Neary for erecting the new sign. 

We would also like to wish Ms Niamh Murtagh a long and happy retirement. A little birdie told us she has been educating the boys and girls of St Michael's NS for 36 years!!!! 

We would also like to wish Ms McTernan, Ms Ross and Ms Cadden all the best for the future and we would like to wish all the staff a happy and restful summer break.
