This morning we worked in pairs on two puzzles. The pairs worked very well to solve them. Daithi had a shape challenge for us too!

Today 3rd and Sixth had fun in the GP room. We played a loop game. Next we played Silent Sequence again. Finally we played Magic Circle- it took two goes to work it out!

We are delighted to take part in WNRW 2025. Day one got off to a great start.

Today we played Silent Sequence in the GP room. It was difficult to make the row silently! We also played Pairs- trying to take the last pair from the square. We also had a puzzle- change 4 3 2 1 to 1 2 3 4 by moving one counter 😀

5th and 6th Class are keeping up their Farm Safety enthusiasm! This Week’s Focus: Sheep Farming! We joined Annie McGuinnes, a sheep farmer from Co. Louth. She gave us a glimpse into life on her farm and explained how she looks after her sheep in the Cooley mountains.

Look at what our magic potions turned into overnight. No tricks in the Infant room today but lots of treats. Well deserved after a busy few weeks.

Today was farm safety day in our school 🚜 We learned about safety from our teachers and from an Agri-kids zoom. Eirene came to tell us about the work of a vet. Ciara told us what her job is as a veterinary nurse. Slán go foill and míle buíochas to Gavin for the hurling coaching sessions with the senior classes. We look forward to having him again.

While the senior girls were at their football match last week, some of the boys from their room came to teach us the rules and how to play some board games like scrabble and the cube. Thank you boys. We had great fun.

Congratulations to the Cloonacool team who won the Junior A final on Saturday night. A huge number of our past pupils came back to visit us with the cup 🏆 A great weekend for our local club 👌

Today we got to hold the big cup Cloonacool won at the weekend. We loved seeing and talking to the players.

We continued working on safety today. We read a set of rules for a pool. Then we completed short safety poems and illustrated them underneath in our sketch pads.

5th and 6th Class enjoyed a Maths Week Quiz on Zoom this afternoon. We had lots of fun.
