On Thursday we wrote and drew pictures about our favourite numbers. On Friday we completed a puzzle!

5th and 6th Class attended mass today to pray for those who are no longer with us. Thank you to Fr Vincent for making us feel so welcome. We have created our own Tree of Remembrance in our classroom to remember our loved ones every day during this month. We created some Robin art for November too. We hope that you like them.

On Thursday third class came to our room and we played a new game called Squirrel. The person with the most saved acorns in the end won the game.

On Wednesday we played Maths board games using fractions.

On Tuesday senior infants came to our classroom and we taught them the bus ride game using addition to 20.

On Monday we played a game called Place Value Wars.

We had lots of fun today with Nathaniel from Sligo Sport & Recreation Partnership. We are already looking forward to next week.

Michel is a lecturer in Galway.  There are three groups of venomous snakes. Vipers have very long fangs that can move! Elopids have shorter fangs that don't move but they are very sharp with very strong poison.  The colubrids have fangs farther back in their mouth so they have to chew their prey. Luckily we don't have venomous snakes in Ireland! 🐍 🐍

This morning we worked in pairs on two puzzles. The pairs worked very well to solve them. Daithi had a shape challenge for us too!

Today 3rd and Sixth had fun in the GP room. We played a loop game. Next we played Silent Sequence again. Finally we played Magic Circle- it took two goes to work it out!

We are delighted to take part in WNRW 2025. Day one got off to a great start.

Today we played Silent Sequence in the GP room. It was difficult to make the row silently! We also played Pairs- trying to take the last pair from the square. We also had a puzzle- change 4 3 2 1 to 1 2 3 4 by moving one counter 😀

5th and 6th Class are keeping up their Farm Safety enthusiasm! This Week’s Focus: Sheep Farming! We joined Annie McGuinnes, a sheep farmer from Co. Louth. She gave us a glimpse into life on her farm and explained how she looks after her sheep in the Cooley mountains.

Look at what our magic potions turned into overnight. No tricks in the Infant room today but lots of treats. Well deserved after a busy few weeks.

Today was farm safety day in our school 🚜 We learned about safety from our teachers and from an Agri-kids zoom. Eirene came to tell us about the work of a vet. Ciara told us what her job is as a veterinary nurse.
