Our RSE lesson today was very appropriate. We were talking about families on Grandparents Day! In groups we found similarities and differences (this was hard) between families. We also said one thing we liked about our family.

We had a lovely celebration of Grandparents Day in St Michael’s church this morning. Thank you to Fr Vincent for a very thoughtful mass. There was a huge crowd of grandparents, parents and friends present with us. What a wonderful way to start our day!

Today we were experimenting with light. We used torches to investigate various materials. Were they transparent, translucent or opaque? We also had glass prisms. We made the spectrum by shining the light through them.

5th and 6th Class enjoyed the Croke Park Active Movement break challenge today as part of Active Schools Week

This week we celebrate Catholic Schools Week. As well as lessons on the daily themes we will be attending mass on Thursday.

We are working with fibres in visual arts at the moment. Each person has a loom and we are weaving on it. It is very enjoyable. A big thank you to Ms Healy who helped us when we were beginning to weave.

Today in RSE we were chatting about bullying behaviour. It is very important to: Say stop Get away Tell Keep telling It is also very important to tell if we see someone being treated badly. We worked in groups chatting about case studies.

5th and 6th Class earned a choice day today after their brilliant work during term 1. They got to wear PJ’s or comfy clothes too. We had a French Breakfast and treats to celebrate our learning with Julien, enjoyed bringing anything but a bag to school, demonstrated lots of teamwork building our school robot, extra fun art and yard time. Well done on a great day everyone!

5th and 6th Class enjoyed a great workshop this morning with a French teacher named Julien. This fantastic workshop was provided by the French Embassy and was a great introduction to the French language. Merci Julien!

A lovely few days in the Infant classroom with our Christmas show and finding gifts under our Christmas tree. Enjoy the well deserved break everyone and the final countdown to Santy.

We really enjoyed performing our musical last night. What wonderful performances after all our hard work!

We were delighted to welcome Santy to our classroom today. We sang songs for him and he gave us sweets and Christmas Annuals. We are looking forward to Santy visiting our homes soon. All he wants is a slice of apple tart & a carrot for Rudolph.

We organised a Santa visit today. The children were delighted to receive a Christmas annual from our dancing Santa! Thank you to all who helped, especially our Christmas elves!

Thank you to our Parents Association who organised a Santa visit today. Santa asked us to sing for him. He gave us all a lovely Christmas annual. We had great fun colouring, reading and playing games in the annual.

We watched Raahat, an author and illustrator, create a winter scene. She made it seem quite easy. Our cards turned out well too.
