First and second class went for a walk around Tubbercurry. We went to St. Bridget’s hall and the recycling centre.

First and second class were so fortunate to be invited to Tubbercurry community library. We met Liz Weir, an author and storyteller from Northern Ireland. We sang songs and listened to her stories. Thank you to Tubbercurry library for inviting us for this special visit.

Our final RSE lesson was on problem-solving. It is important to pick a good time to talk about a problem. It's also important to stay calm when talking about a problem. Then we tried a very difficult Missing Piece task!

Well done to the boys who represented our school today. They played Carns, Moylough and Bunninadden - all very close games!

Well done to the girls who demonstrated excellent teamwork skills at McSharry Park today. The girls played 3 fantastic games and earned a well-deserved place in the final. Great excitement in Junior & Senior Infants today. When we arrived to school there was an incubator in our classroom with 8 eggs inside. We can't wait to observe these eggs over the next 3 weeks. Hopefully we will have baby chicks for Easter. Thank you to Ms. Whitehead for trusting us with this very important work.

We are looking forward to the Book Fair next week. Ms Toolan is busy organising it for us . It will be open Wednesday March 11th to Friday March 13th each morning.

We are working on reports and report writing with Ms Henry. Each group took information on an animal and created a report to present to the class. It was very interesting.

Today we got cosy in the Infant classroom and got lost in our story books. We really enjoyed Ireland Reads Day.

Rebecca has started GAA coaching with each class. It was fun warming up and then practicing and using our skills.

We had great fun working on our Gaelic skills this morning. Thank you Rebecca ⚽️ ☀️

We had a session with Rebecca today. Even though it was damp we kept going! We were practicing ball skills after a warm up.

We used measuring tapes, trundle wheels and meter sticks.

We chatted and learned about taking care of the various parts of our bodies. We also drew care posters.

Céad míle fáilte to Ms Henry who will be teaching 3rd & 4th for 4 weeks. A special céad míle fáilte to Leo. Leo is the speaking object in our room!
